The 1971 Indo-Pak war will be remembered for eons as a life-changing and spectacular moment for the Indian military. They won a decisive victory over Pakistan’s armed forces. Their audacious actions not only brought the Pakistani military to its knees, but also resulted in a crushing defeat unprecedented since World War II. The hard-won victory given to the Indian people by our military was made possible by our warriors who fought with utmost dedication and courage while upholding the highest traditions of the Indian Armed Forces.
